Having completed a few triathlons (motivated by Chelsea, an Ironman), and being recently inspired by her (yet again), I figured a 5 mile race is a good place to start a little training. Although, I have no plans on racing any more triathlons, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Just yesterday I started my April challenge of doing basic squats, sit ups and push ups. Nothing too crazy. Luke is even going to do it with us, in honor of his sister’s birthday. I suppose I should start running again since I haven’t done it in years. Anyone have suggestions about where I should go to get shoes? Let me know if you’re interested in joining our team, I’m sure you’re welcome to come get dirty with us.
Dirty Dash
Today I got an email from Anna, my SIL, requesting a birthday gift. It wasn’t your usual gift, but an invitation to join her team, the Discontinued Twinkies, in the Dirty Dash. It’s a 5 mile race where you end up muddied and messy and covered in earth. Sounds like my kind of race!
Yay!!! I am so excited that you guys signed up. I think we should start a family ritual of running/walking/jogging together on Sunday mornings before having bfast together. What do you think?XOXOXOXOX
